SAVVY shoppers have flocked to Tesco to snap up the “bargain of the century” uniform essential.
A bargain hunter received a pleasant surprise when she scanned a two back of boys long sleeved shirts for only 4p.
The two pack of shirts normally retails at £3.50.
In her post on Facebook, the savvy shopper said: “Found the bargain of the century in Tesco.
“It looks like all the boys long sleeve shirts now come in a pack of 3 (£5.50) however after rummaging through I found a pack of 2 (£3.50).
“When I got to the till I was charged a grand total of just 4p for the 2 pack.
“Looks like it’s old season stock so if you can find this colour packet you might get a bargain too!”
She even shared her receipt in the comments as proof of her discounted purchase.
The school essential bargain buy led to shoppers flooding the Facebook comment section to praise the discount.
One person said: “Great find well done! Every bargain helps with school uniforms I look in charity shops for trousers still in good condition.
Another added: “Well done, that’s what you call a bargain.”
A third person commented: “I had this with trouser for my son.”
It comes a day after another savvy shopper spotted a bargain school essential in Asda.
The shopper spotted two summer school dresses for a bargain price of 20p and shared it on Facebook.
The dresses normally retails for £11.
It has left parents in a frenzy, with many commenting that they needed to find the bargain.
The original savvy shopper said in her post: “Asda summer school dresses, 2 pack for 20p! I bought the next size up and will store them for next summer. Bargain!”
One person said: “Get on this lol.”
Another asked a friend: “Can you see if this is in our area?”
While a third simply said: “Cheers chick x”.
