More on Littler’s opponent

The Wimbledon legend Bruno Stockli was born and raised in Basel but now resides in the Swiss town of Valbella.

Despite not being on the PDC Tour, Stockli previously caught the eye live on Sky Sports earlier this year.

He reeled in the big fish with a 170 checkout against Northern Ireland in the group stage of the World Cup of Darts back in June.

Alongside partner Stefan Bellmont, though, the Swiss duo lost both their matches as they crashed out in the opening round.

The winner of Littler vs Stockli could potentially face Humphries in the last 16.

Game on

Luke Littler has been doing side quests to pass the time while he waited for round one to be completed.

And one of those was playing Ultimate Team on EA FC 25 where he had seven Premier League stars.

Despite being a Manchester United fan, Littler has two Manchester City players in his squad – Ederson and 91-rated Erling Haaland.

In defence he has Ferland Mendy, Micky van de Ven, Virgil van Dijk and United defender Diogo Dalot.

Red Devils ace Kobbie Mainoo is in midfield alongside Eduardo Camavinga, Luis Diaz and Rodrygo.

And Haaland leads the line alongside icon Hernan Crespo.
