A MISSING mom-of-two has been miraculously found alive after she vanished a week ago.
Melonie Ballenger, 46, mysteriously disappeared on November 4 but has now been safely reunited with her “ecstatic” family.
The missing mom’s mother Sharon Hardy told The Sun: “We’ve been told she’s been found alive. We don’t know much else yet.
“I’m excited, I’m ecstatic. But I can’t speak on it further at the moment.”
The Wylie Police Department later released a statement confirming Melonie has been found and is in “good health” but has been taken to hospital with severe dehydration.
The statement said: “At approximately 5:15pm, Melonie was located near Abby Ln and Tyler Trail by a resident.
“She was found to be severely dehydrated but otherwise in good health.
“Melonie is currently being reunited with her family and taken to a hospital for treatment.
“We want to thank everyone who worked day and night trying to find her. Please respect the privacy of the family as they reunite with their loved one.”
They also confirmed that investigations remain ongoing but have said there is no evidence of foul play involved.
Melonie was first reported missing after her husband, Daniel, told cops she had left the family home without a trace.
Daniel said she hadn’t taken any of her personal items including her phone, credit card, wallet, ID, and car.
She was reportedly not feeling well and stayed home for most of Sunday, family members told KTVT.
Melonie was also scheduled to have heart surgery in juts a few weeks time, Daniel revealed.
“I miss her,” he said as he spoke to local CBS affiliate KTVT on Wednesday, three days after her disappearance.
Police searched high and low near the family’s home with K9 dogs and a helicopter.
Melonie’s disappearance even sparked panic across the Texas community with dozens of friends and neighbors packing into Gateway Community Church for a vigil on November 5.
