Mac Allister bravely moved across to block a powerful shot from Leipzig defender Benjamin Henrichs.
The ball smacked the Argentine in his crotch and knocked him to the floor.
Mac Allister appeared to be in some discomfort as he received assistance from a physio – he even left the field of play momentarily before returning.
