A TWELVE-year-old girl has been left seriously injured after a horror stabbing.
The schoolgirl was allegedly attacked on Sunday evening around 5pm near a car park on Harbour Road in Barry Island, Wales.
She was rushed to hospital where she remains in a serious yet stable condition, say cops.
Two boys, aged 13 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
The youngest was also nicked on suspicion of possessing a bladed article.
It is understood they were both known to the victim and an investigation is ongoing.
Detective inspector Phil Marchant, from South Wales Police, said: “Understandably this incident and the ages of those involved will cause worry within the community.
“Two suspects, who are known to the victim, were arrested within an hour and at this stage we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the assault.”
