MEAT, fish, eggs, are all in a day’s diet for Hollywood star, Dwayne ‘The Rock Johnson, famed for his strong and muscular physique fuelled by a variety of protein-rich foods.
But now it seems there is one item that is flying off the menu: spicy chicken wings.

That’s according to Sean Evans, host of the popular show, Hot Ones, the down interview series where celebrities answer questions while eating a variety of chicken wings.
The American Youtube chat show which has been running since 2015, has seen Sean Evans interview a host of famous faces including, David Beckham, Conan O’Brien, Paul Rudd, Jennifer Lawrence, Jenna Ortega and Gordon Ramsay, to name a few.
Evans told how he approached The Rock to appear on the show, but Johnson came back with the proviso that he didn’t want to eat chicken wings, requesting spicy salmon strips instead.
In a recent interview he said: “We’ve been pitching The Rock for years and one time I got a note back that as like, “would be willing to do, instead of wings, grilled salmon strips. And it my head I was like, that had to come from his mouth, that’s as close as we’ve gotten.”
Dwayne Johnson started his career as a wrestler, the son of famed wrestler Rocky Johnson, where he competed in WWE becoming a 10-time world champion.
Soon Hollywood came calling and he starred in his first film The Mummy Returns in 2001, followed by his first leading role in the action adventure fantasy, The Scorpion King.
As well as key roles in the Jumanji sequels: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level, he then won the coveted role of Luke Hobbs for the Fast and the Furious series which became one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time.
Recently he produced and starred in the HBO comedy series, Ballers as well as voicing Maui in the Disney animation Moana in 2016.
In 2019 he was named as Time Magazine’s most influential people.
As one of the richest and highest paid actors in the world, he is thought to rake in around 100 million a year, through films, sponsorships and brand advertising.
The Hollywood star is married to actress Lauren Hasian with whom he has two daughters, Jasmine, born in 2015 and Tiana in 2018.
He is also dad to female wrestler Simone Johnson from his marriage to Dany Garcia.
