Danny Amendola is not opposed to selling feet pictures following his retirement from the NFL.

“I love feet, you got to walk on them every day,” Amendola, 38, told Us Weekly exclusively following the Dancing With the Stars live show on Tuesday, October 15. “They’re dancing feet, they’re working feet. My feet are terrible to look at, but yeah, thanks for being a fan.”

Amendola was, of course, thanking his wikiFeet fans (yes, there is a website for ranking celebrity feet) in which he boasts a pretty high score apparently.

“Trust me, these feet are not pretty,” Amendola told Us.

The NFL has nothing on Dancing With the Stars — just ask Danny Amendola. “My joints are so much more sore. We’re playing on grass, so it’s a little softer. The hardwood is, like, I’m icing up,” Amendola, 38, told Us Weekly exclusively following the Dancing With the Stars season 33 premiere on Tuesday, September […]

The feet conversation came after Amendola’s dance partner, Witney Carson, shared a social media video of the former football star taping his feet.

“I didn’t even think about that when I was videoing,” Carson, 30, declared. Amendola joked, “Maybe I should start monetizing that.”

On a more serious note, the athlete explained that taping his feet has helped throughout the DWTS process — especially with his contemporary routine on Tuesday.

“Bare feet on wood when you’re spinning around, it is blister city,” Amendola explained. “I think I got three toes taped at this moment right now that are throbbing. That’s dance life, man.”

Amendola danced to the “Unsteady (Erich Lee Gravity Remix)” by X Ambassadors on Dedication Night. The routine was dedicated to the football player’s late Texas Tech football coach, Mike Leach, who died at age 61 in December 2022 following complications of a heart condition.

“He taught us a lot about resiliency, a lot about grit. His saying was ‘swing your sword,’ and anytime you go into a situation, he would relate it to being a pirate,” Amendola recalled to Us. “He was obsessed with pirates. If you know Mike Leach, you know Mike Leach.”

Dancing With the Stars got emotional as they performed for those closest to them on Dedication Night — but before the show was over, one couple got sent home. Former DWTS pro Mark Ballas (and three-time winner) joined Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli at the judges table on Tuesday, October 15. This […]

Amendola said that Leach would always “commit” which is what he and Carson embodied during their performance.

The athlete told Us that couldn’t help but feel some type of way on such an emotional night, especially when his intro package was shown ahead of their dance.

“When I watched the promo before we started dancing, I definitely felt a deep level of emotion,” he said. “I just was replaying all the things that Coach Leach did for me and all my ex-teammates and trying to channel that. It was good.”

Dancing With the Stars airs simultaneously on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. You can stream episodes on Disney+ the next day.
