UFC president Dana White is sharing his regrets around a viral video of him slapping his spouse, Anne White.
In January 2023, White, 54, apologized following TMZ printed footage of the incident, which took area at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on December 31, 2022.
Now, the businessman is telling former NFL star Shannon Sharpe how the ordeal afflicted his and Anne’s a few young children, Dana Jr., Aidan and Savannah.

Sharpe brought up the incident on the Wednesday, June 19, episode of his “Club Shay Shay” podcast, telling White, “That experienced to be the hardest time that you’d ever absent by way of in your existence.”
“It wasn’t. COVID was,” White responded. “COVID was way tougher than that.”
White then explained that his primary issue via the ordeal was for his children.
“It wasn’t about receiving through it publicly. It was about finding by means of it individually with my children. Me and my spouse are high-quality,” he said. “The young children experienced under no circumstances seen that ahead of. It was on the planet stage. We humiliated them. No little ones want to see that s–t with their parents.”
White continued, “Everybody else can go f–k themselves. It had very little to do with them. It was about my family. Which is what is crucial. The people that know me and know her, they know us. We’re great. That was something personalized involving me and my household.”
“I know specifically who I am. My kids know who I am. My circle of people that I give a s–t about know who I am, and which is what mattered to me,” the MMA boss concluded.
At the time, White owned up to his actions, telling TMZ: “You’ve read me say in excess of the a long time, ‘There is in no way, at any time an excuse for a male to put his hands on a girl,’ and now below I am on TMZ talking about it.”

“My spouse and I have been married for nearly 30 yrs. We’ve acknowledged every other due to the fact we have been 12 decades outdated,” he continued. “We’ve naturally been as a result of some s—t jointly. We have got a few young ones.”
Anne also expressed regret for her aspect in the incident. “Dana and I have been married for almost 30 years. To say this is out of character for him is an understatement nothing at all like this has at any time happened right before,” she instructed TMZ. “Unfortunately, we ended up both consuming as well substantially on New Year’s Eve and issues received out of management, on both equally sides. We have talked this through as a relatives and apologized to every other. I just hope people will respect our privacy for the sake of our kids.”
