Tennis star Coco Gauff finally served up a photo of her hanging out with her rumored boyfriend after months of dropping hints about his identity.

Gauff, 20, posted a series of pictures from her time at the Camp Flog Gnaw music festival in Los Angeles via Instagram on Wednesday, November 21, which included a snap of Gauff and musician Jalen Sera standing next to each other.

While Gauff didn’t confirm Sera as her boyfriend in the post, rumors have been tying the pair together since the 2023 US Open champion started discussing her love life earlier this year.

Gauff and Sera, 22, have routinely exchanged cute Instagram comments with one another, but have never publicly addressed their relationship.

Despite an increasingly public profile, tennis superstar Coco Gauff continues to hold serve when it comes to keeping the identity of her boyfriend a mystery.  Gauff, the defending U.S. Open champion who won her first Grand Slam doubles’ title in June, has preached the importance of keeping her off-the-court life private. Still, that doesn’t mean […]

Gauff recently explained how the Camp Flog Gnaw Festival, which was created by Tyler, The Creator, holds special meaning for her and her boyfriend after the tennis star was name-dropped on the rapper’s song “Thought I Was Dead.”

“That was really cool. I was not expecting it,” Gauff told reporters at WTA Finals media day on Friday, November 1. “It was crazy because he DM’d me congratulations over China Open [which Gauff won October 6]. We never talked or anything before. He liked my photo or something when I won US Open.”

Gauff continued, “Then my boyfriend is like, ‘Watch, he’s going to drop you in a song.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, that would be insane. That’s never going to happen.’ Three weeks later, it happened. I was like, ‘Can he see into the future or what?’”

The American tennis phenom has previously explained how dating somebody outside of the tennis world has been a way for her to decompress and get away from the sport.

“To just have someone to talk to who is not involved in tennis at all gives me a fresh perspective,” Gauff told Time magazine in April. Gauff said the romance marks her “first real relationship” and noted she and her boyfriend started dating in the spring of 2023.

“He’s a very nice guy. He’s in school now,” Gauff told Vogue in March. “He’s about to apply for music school. He wants to be an actor and he plays the guitar.”

Gauff even revealed that her boyfriend has already managed to win over her family — and you don’t even have to take her word for it.

“My mom always said, if they’re bad in school, they’re probably bad as adults,” Gauff’s mom, Candi, told TIME. “He’s always been a smart, nice kid.”
