Boy, 1, died after concrete wall collapsed on top of him while visiting lambs with his dad, inquest hears

A ONE-year-old boy has died after a concrete wall collapsed on top of him.

Roan Butcher was tragically killed after suffering a brain injury when visiting the lambs on his granddad’s land in Mildenhall, West Suffolk.

The tot’s dad, Zach Butcher, had picked him up from nursery before heading over to see the animals kept at the family home.

Suffolk Coroners Court heard the lambs at the time were penned in a barn surrounded by three-foot concrete walls.

Zach picked up Roan and lifted him into the pen before stepping over the wall himself.

The inquest found the family could not have done anything to avoid the tragedy which happened on April 5 this year.
