BOOB jobs boost women’s sex lives and happiness, global research has found.

Around 5,000 British females a year have work done to increase their bust sizes.

And a review of 39 surveys involving more than 18,000 women worldwide found patients rated their sexual and mental wellbeing higher after the op.

After getting bigger boobs for cosmetic reasons, their sexual satisfaction increased from an average score of 65 to 71, while general happiness increased from 71 to 75.

Study author Dr Valentin Haug, of the University of Heidelberg in Germany, said: “Breast augmentation can help correct a self-perceived physical flaw and therefore boost self-esteem and body image.”

“Another factor contributing to these striking improvements is the perceived sense of beauty gained from cosmetic surgery.”

He said women may be more likely to eat healthy and exercise more if they felt more attractive after the surgery.

Gains in happiness appear to be greater in older women and those with bigger implants.

Some scores stayed the same or got worse — potentially due to pain, discomfort or changes to sensation after surgery, which is not risk-free.

Statistics from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons show 4,918 women had breast augmentation ops last year.

It was a big drop from 6,640 the year before when figures boomed after a lull during Covid.

Britain’s peak boob job year was 2013, when more than 11,000 had the op. It may have declined due to changing trends and attitudes.
