THE body of a man has been found on a private beach next to a row of luxury celebrity homes on the South Coast.

Cops said the remains were found by members of the public off the shore of Western Esplanade in Hove, East Sussex, at around 4pm yesterday.

Millionaire’s Row, where Fatboy Slim and David Walliams have homes and Adele used to live, are some of the most exclusive properties in Brighton and Hove.

Sir Paul McCartney also had a property there when he was married to Heather Mills.

A local resident told The Argus: “It was just unbelievable to hear that a body washed up.

“I heard about it before going into the gym. It’s really sad.”

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called after a body of a man was found by members of the public off the shore of Western Esplanade, Hove shortly before 4pm this afternoon (September 3).

“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and establish the full circumstances of the incident.”
