Inspector Roger Hocking, of Devon and Cornwall Law enforcement, said: “We are inquiring members of the general public to make contact with us if they were in the vicinity of ASH Buoy (a environmentally friendly channel marker buoy) in close proximity to the Waterside/Moist Wok eateries and observed something that could assist us in our enquiries.

“We are keen to detect the two swimmers and guarantee they are protected and nicely.

“They could incredibly very well have returned to shore and would be unaware of the report built in superior faith concerning their welfare.

“We have not been given any reviews of lacking persons in the spot.”
