Fury as woke university tells students not to use words and phrases ‘illegal immigrant’ above fears it could induce offence

A WOKE college has told college students not to use the words “illegal immigrant” above fears it could result in offence.

The term is dehumanising and team and college students can say “undocumented” in its place, suggests the guidance.

Conditions such as “crazy” and “mad” for awesome events should be swapped for “bananas”, provides the inclusive language guide by London Metropolitan University.  

Tory politician Nigel Mills named it “ludicrous woke nonsense”.

He stormed: “Illegal migrant is a very simple factual expression for an individual who’s not arrive to the British isles lawfully. 

“Surely universities have much better works by using for tuition expenses than spending people today to arrive up with this garbage.”

The university, which has 12,500 college students, also says on its web site:  “Welcome women and gentleman” really should be replaced with “Welcome everyone”.

Husbands and wives should be termed “partners”, and mums and dads  “parents” or “caregivers”.

Ageist conditions “elderly, OAPs, pensioners or youngsters” are also discouraged. 

The college mentioned it wants to use words “that signify regard, recognise the nuances of our lived experience, and  encourage equitable outcomes”.

A spokesman additional: “We get pride in our numerous group and our determination to creating a welcoming surroundings where by all pupils can succeed.

“This is not about political correctness it’s about making sure absolutely everyone feels valued.

“We stand by our values and the good impact of this guidebook.”
