New pics show missing Jay Slater with pals at hotel pool party just two days before he vanished as search enters day 11

NEWLY emerged pictures show Jay Slater relaxing with pals at a pool party just two days before he vanished in Tenerife.

The 19-year-old – who has been missing for 11 days – can be seen clutching a cup and wearing camouflage shorts at the Hard Rock Hotel in Playa de las Americas.

His friend Lucy, the last person Jay spoke to on the phone, appears to be talking to another group of men as Jay stands alone.

In another photo, Jay dons sunglasses and he lounges by a pool with friends.

They were shared on social media by a holidaymaker who says she came across them on her phone’s camera roll.

The snaps were taken on June 15 – on the second day of the NRG festival Jay, from Lancashire, had flown to Tenerife to go to with two friends.

Just two days later, Jay vanished – and has not been seen or heard from since.

After going to a rave that finished in the early hours of June 17, Jay headed to Masca with two British men he had met that evening.

He shared a final Snapchat from their Airbnb of a hand holding a cigarette at 7.30am.

Apprentice bricklayer Jay then tried to make his way back to his holiday accommodation – an 11 hour walk away.

But at around 8.50am he made a final frantic call to friend Lucy, telling her he was lost in the “middle of nowhere” with no water and had just one per cent battery on his phone.

It sparked a mammoth search operation involving helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs.

Rescue crews have been focusing their efforts on the 2,000ft Masca ravine in the north.

It is where his phone last pinged a nearby cell tower.

Investigators searching for Jay are using drones and dogs to scour the area where his phone lost signal.

Earlier this week, cops in Tenerife drafted in reinforcements from Madrid – including specialist sniffer dogs adept at searching vast areas.

It comes as…

It comes as former detective Mark Williams-Thomas revealed descriptions of the two mystery men Jay partied with before vanishing.

Mark, who worked on the Madeleine McCann case, claimed the men are “key witnesses” and said both of the men are black and in their 30s or early 40s.

They are said to be from Luton, Bedfordshire, with one going by the nickname “Johnny Vegas”.

Neither of them are believed to have been to the NRG music festival where Jay spent the day partying before he vanished.

One of the men was described as around 6ft tall, quite stocky, with short dark hair.

He was seen wearing an orange wristband and drank Hennessy cognac on the night where he was with Jay.

Mark has said he will release an image of one of the men if they refuse to come forward and help in the investigation.

Meanwhile, police have scoured the exact spot where a mystery “grainy figure” was seen.

Our exclusive footage showed a cop searching a spot where a sighting of the missing teen was reported in Santiago del Teide.

An officer with a flashlight and another man are seen combing the area for clues, at one point examining a red container.

The pair then walks towards the town hall, before heading back over to the church and waiting near the road.

Previous grainy footage taken at the same spot showed a figure that the teen’s family are praying is him.

It comes amid claims from a local mayor Jay was spotted “celebrating” at a bar while watching the Euros.

Locals in Santiago del Teide claim they spotted the 19-year-old on a bench 10 hours after his last phone call.

The town’s mayor revealed new bizarre reports have been made from Los Gigantes, eight miles away on the coast.

Emilio Jose Navarro said a number of locals told cops that Jay was enjoying watching the football tournament.

He said: “The local city hall police have had some interviews with people that could have seen him.

“Some people think he may have been in the coastal area of the municipality, they saw him celebrating in a bar over the days they have been Euro cup matches.”

He added: “We know the judicial police is investigating the city hall security cameras, which are more for tourism purposes than security.

“They are working also with the company that handles those cameras, it’s the Guardia Civil that is handling that.”
