Bargain supermarket urgently recalls £1 cocktail sausages over health risk fears & warns shoppers ‘do NOT eat’

FARMFOODS has issued an urgent recall of its own-brand cocktail sausage rolls due to a potentially life-threatening allergy risk.

The frozen party snack, priced at £1, may have been mistakenly packed with cheese and onion rolls that contain undeclared milk, posing a serious risk to individuals with milk allergies or intolerances.

The affected product is 700g, with batch code L4295 and a best before date of October 2025.

This recall comes after the Food Standards Agency (FSA) flagged the issue, issuing a ‘do not eat’ warning.

Farmfoods has displayed notices in stores to inform customers about the recall and provide guidance.

If you’ve purchased this product and have a milk allergy, do not consume it.

Make sure to return the product to the store for a full refund even if you don’t have the receipt.

David Wood Baking Ltd, which produces the sausage rolls, confirmed the recall affects only the specified batch.

The company is working with retailers to ensure the product is removed from shelves.

This isn’t the first time shoppers have been warned about dangerous food products.

In July Farmfoods issued another recall for Qualiko Frozen Chicken Nuggets after undeclared milk was found in the product.

This raised concerns for those with milk allergies or lactose intolerance.

Shoppers were urged to check batch codes and stop consumption immediately.

Another example was the five flavours of MadeGood Granola Bars being recalled earlier this year after reports of metal fragments in some packs.

These bars sold in various supermarkets, posed an injury to consumers.

Brand Organic, the manufacturer, launched a full investigation and worked to remove the affected stock from shelves.

Many recalls are due to errors in labelling or contamination during production.

Undeclared allergens, such as milk, soya, or nuts are the most common reasons.

Such errors can have serious, even life-threatening consequences for those with allergies.
