MILLWALL’S clash with Sunderland has been stopped due to a medical emergency.
The Championship clash was halted at The Den in the 41st minute as players called on the medics to attend to the supporter.
The referee then led the players off the field in stoppage time after they had been waiting by the technical area.
Millwall tweeted: “The players have left the pitch following a medical emergency in the crowd.
“We send our best wishes to those receiving attention.”
The game was 1-0 to Sunderland at the time of the incident – with Aaron Connolly having put the visitors ahead in the 10th minute.
Reacting to the news, one social media user said: “Fingers crossed for the fan involved.”
While another added: “Hope all ends up well šš¼ Never want to see this.”
And a third replied: “Hope the people are well and sending best wishes šā½ļøšššāāļø.”
