Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos is playing matchmaker in Bachelor Nation.
As part of her and Chock Chapple’s Us Weekly cover story, Joan, 61, revealed that the casts of seasons 1 of The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette aren’t waiting for a senior Paradise spinoff to get together.
“I’ve already set three of them up — we have love connections that are brewing right now. And I have two more that I’m looking at and working on,” Joan tells Us exclusively. “We have to see how that is going to unfold. There are already five guys from this season 1732110346 involved with somebody. They came off of this and they were popular guys, and I’m not surprised that some of them have girlfriends already!”
While Joan didn’t name names as it’s too early to know if the duos will work out, fans saw Jack Lencioni and Susan Noles sitting together at the finale. Leslie Fhima and Jordan Heller have also been spotted hanging out, but she denied that things are romantic (so far!).
Joan and Chock, also 61, who got engaged on the November finale of her Golden Bachelorette season, are also ready for several of their costars to start handing out roses.
“That is the hardest question we get asked. You would think all of these relationship questions are hard, but that is the hard one,” Joan tells Us. “I’m not trying to be evasive at all. I cannot hone in on one person because there are qualities about so many of the men — I would dare to say, almost all of the men would make really good Golden Bachelors.”
“Mark [Anderson] and Charles [Ling] would be phenomenal, but there are so many others people aren’t thinking about,” she continues. Runner-up Guy Gansert, for one. “I’m not sure Bachelor Nation knows Guy well,” she says. “He has an emotional intelligence beyond his years.”
Chock interjects to joke, “He’s better looking in person. I still don’t think his teeth are real, but he’s a good looking guy!”
She’d also back Dan Roemer (“amazing”) and Gregg Lassen (the show’s “funniest, smartest man”), while Chock likes Jordan (“such an outgoing personality”) and Keith Gordon (“the glue” that keeps the group together).
As for second runner-up Pascal Ibgui, well, the 69-year-old told Us he’d require younger ladies: “Yes, I’m old, but I don’t go out with a 72-year-old woman.” Here’s hoping Pascal can score a spot on BiP with or without his senior counterparts.
