Blaze at cannabis farm sends plumes of weed smoke into air near King Charles’ Highgrove House

RESIDENTS near the King’s Highgrove House were told to shut their windows after a cannabis farm went up in flames.

A rival gang is suspected of torching the marijuana factory — which sent plumes of weed smoke into the air yesterday.

Green-fingered Charles was not believed to be home at the time.

Nine fire engines raced to the industrial estate in Tetbury, Gloucs, as a helicopter searched for three men seen fleeing the scene.

The building is owned by Sines Park Holdings Ltd — whose directors are Fred Doe and Elaine Sines, but there is no suggestion they were involved in the farm.

An Irish Times report claims Mr Doe, 62, changed his name in 2022 after being linked to the Irish Kinahan Cartel in High Court evidence.

An eyewitness said: “I saw three men in balaclavas leg it when the fire started.

“You could smell the weed.

Next thing the sirens started. It was chaos.”

Gloucestershire Police said: “A 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of the production of a class B drug, namely cannabis.”

It said searches for two other men had not been successful.
