Christina Hall has recruited her ex-husband Ant Anstead to be her partner for The Flip Off, Us Weekly can confirm.
“He’s filming a portion of the show with her,” a source exclusively told Us on Thursday, November 7.
That same day, Anstead, 45, and Hall, 41, were spotted shooting the HGTV series together in Los Angeles, according to photos obtained by People. In one snap, Hall is seen chatting with Anstead while standing outside a house they appear to be working on. (Anstead and Hall were married from 2018 to 2020. They share 4-year-old son Hudson.)
The other photos show Anstead driving up in a black SUV wearing all black, as he meets with Hall and several crew members. Hall matched her former spouse in black jeans, a black blazer with gold buttons and black and gold heeled booties.
Christina was initially set to star in the upcoming series alongside estranged husband Joshua Hall. The pair, who got married in October 2021, announced in May that they would be competing with Christina’s first husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, on The Flip Off.
“Now, the exes are back — along with their new spouses — for a throwdown competition to see who can find, buy, renovate, and flip a house for the biggest financial gain, and the chance at bragging rights,” a statement read at the time. “The series launches in early 2025 with a super-sized premiere when Tarek and Christina are sure to bring the flipping drama.”
Tarek, 43, and Christina previously worked together on Flip or Flop for 10 seasons, both during and after their marriage ended. The exes, who share daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 10, called it quits in 2016 and their HGTV series concluded in 2022.
Christina later worked on Christina in the Country with Joshua, 44, before the pair filed for divorce in July. While the duo sorts out their divorce — they are battling over their joint assets and homes in both Tennessee and Southern California — Christina has moved forward with The Flip Off.
“They are in production of The Flip Off without Josh,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “They’re moving forward with the show without him.”
A few weeks later, Christina seemingly cosigned the idea of Anstead stepping in as her new partner on the competition series after a fan made the suggestion. “How awesome would it be to have Ant replace Josh on The Flip Off? Ratings would go through the roof,” a fan commented on one of Christina’s July Instagram posts.
Christina teased she was on board with the plan, commenting back, “LOL that would be a genius ‘ratings’ idea just saying.”
Tarek, for his part, exclusively told Us in October how wild it is to be working with Christina again, especially with Heather, 37, by his side.
“Man, I never, ever in my life thought this show would happen,” Tarek revealed. “Sometimes I’m sitting there and I’ll have a moment where I look over at Heather, my wife, and I look over to the other side, and there’s my ex-wife, Christina. And I wonder, ‘How did I get here?’”
Heather chimed in, saying that Tarek “does say that a lot” on set. She told Us, “He’s like, ‘How did I get here? How am I building with my ex-wife and my wife?’”
Tarek, who shares 21-month-old son Tristan with Heather, insisted that the couple are “gonna win” the competitions. “We have to,” he joked.
