A VIBRANT grandma-of-three is making waves in the world of pole dancing at the age of 62.
People usually turn their nose up when Regina Mattenklotz elegantly glides along the silver pole, but she is totally unfazed about it.
Regina is currently competing in the Pole Dance World Championships in Uppsala, Sweden, having earned her spot by clinching first place at the German Championships earlier this summer.
This prestigious event features over 550 athletes from around the globe, showcasing a variety of categories until Sunday.
Regina will take the stage on Saturday, competing in the over-60s division against seven other participants from countries including America, Australia, Japan, and Norway.
With a current ranking of fifth in the world, she stands a solid chance of securing a podium finish.

Reflecting on her journey, Regina told Bild: “Back then, one or two people would sometimes turn up their noses when I talked about my hobby.
“But now everyone understands that you don’t have to have anything to do with the red light district to do the sport.
“Pole dancing has long since left the sleazy corner.”
For her, pole dancing represents much more than a hobby.
It serves as a powerful full-body workout that tones and strengthens all muscle groups, particularly the deep muscles, enhancing overall body silhouette.
Beyond her impressive competition skills, Regina is also passionate about sharing her love for the sport.
As a medical device consultant, she has become adept enough to teach classes at the “Pole Garage” dance studio in Iserlohn, where she trains.
With her determination and talent, Regina Mattenklotz could soon be crowned a world champion, proving that age is just a number in the world of pole dancing.
It comes as a super fit 65-year-old nan became an internet sensation due to her muscular physique and mindset.
Marlene Flowers is a ripped grandma who only started to exercise seven years ago, after having a wake-up call.
According to the ”bodybuilding granny”, she’d been struggling with eating disorders and health issues, which ultimately led her to getting surgery at the age of 58.
Speaking to the Pittsburgh City Paper, Marlene said: “After that experience, I knew that I needed to make a change.”
Determined to turn her life around, Marlene began to work out and follow a healthy lifestyle, before discovering a passion for weightlifting.
