FOUR people are dead in a horror helicopter crash with the chopper smashing into a Houston radio tower and dropping from the sky.

Footage caught by local Texans shows the craft flying along and hitting the high tower before it erupts into flames and plunges.

One of the people dead was tragically a child, according to local police.

The Houston Fire Department says the helicopter hit a radio tower in the Second Ward shortly before 8pm, Fox26 reported.
