DONALD Trump’s hair left viewers baffled on Tuesday night as the former president appeared to sport a new look.
The 2024 hopeful took to the stage with Kamala Harris for their first-ever meeting – but it was his hairstyle that caught the attention of viewers.
Trump wore a black suit with a red tie as viewers noticed the Republican nominee’s thinning hair and a lighter color than usual.
Tonight’s debate comes as…
- Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are in neck and neck race ahead of the debate, according to a New York Times/Siena College national poll.
- As of Tuesday, Trump is ahead of Harris in the national polls by 1%, per the New York Times/Siena College poll.
- However, the seven battleground states, which are critical for both candidates to secure the White House, are extremely tight heading into debate night.
- Harris leads Trump by 1-2% in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Michigan, according to the national poll.
- Trump, on the other hand, is ahead in Georgia by 1%.
- However, both candidates are tied in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona.
- Tuesday’s primetime debate will be the first time Trump and Harris face off on the national stage.
- A former Joe Biden adviser warned Harris needs ‘quick one-liners’ in debate.
- ‘Polling Nostradamus’ Allan Lichtman predicts Harris will defeat Trump in November.
“Trump looks ollllld,” read one post on X.
“His weird gold hair has faded,” they continued.
“What’s with the color of Trump’s hair,” asked another.
“Did Trump dye his hair or something,” asked another.
“Are those bangs?,” read another post.
Some even posted that Trump’s hair appeared “purple” on their TVs.
“His hair is thinning right before our eyes,” someone said.
” I can see his scalp,” they said.
“That is NOT his hair,” someone else said guessing that he was sporting a toupee.
THE DEBATE
Harris and Trump sparred on the debate stage on Tuesday.
The two battled it out on their proposed policies and records.
At times, the former president seemed irritated and frustrated with his opponent’s remarks.
However, Trump refused to answer many of the questions directly asked to him, instead going off on multiple tangents throughout the night.
His most notable of the night, however, was his repetition of debunked claims that Haitian migrants were stealing and eating people’s cats and dogs from their homes in Ohio.
“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in,” Trump said of the Haitian-immigration population that migrated to the United States during the Biden administration.
“They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” he added.
Harris, whose mic was off, appeared to mouth “What?” as she laughed and shook her head.
David Muir, one of the debate’s moderators, quickly fact-checked Trump, saying the city manager and police in Springfield determined there were “no credible reports” of pets being harmed by migrants in the city – which angered Trump.
“We’ll see,” the former president said as a response, telling Muir that he saw people on TV in the area say so.
When Harris’ mic turned back on, she just chuckled and said, “Talk about extreme.”
The conspiracy recently generated millions of views on X.
It originally started after a local posted on social media that his neighbor’s daughter’s friend lost her cat and later found it hanging from a branch near a Haitian neighbor’s home.
The post suggested the cat was hanging from the tree to be butchered and eaten.
A little later, another post showing a Black man walking down a street and carrying what appeared to be a goose’s carcass by its feet was also shared on X – although it is unclear if the man in question is just a local hunter.
Springfield Mayor Bob Rue debunked the claims on Tuesday, saying the city has not found any evidence of the online rumors.
“Rumors like these are taking away from the real issues such as housing concerns, resources needed for our schools, and our overwhelmed health care system,” Rue said at a meeting of the city commission.
