Holiday-park attendees ended up frozen with anxiety immediately after a 14ft snake slithered earlier their windows.
It took a few adult males to lift the massive Burmese python.
Vets ended up alerted following the reptile was clocked by friends at Monkton Wyld Vacation Park in West Dorset.
Local Peter Bacon explained: “It was humongous.
“I stopped my van and took a picture to exhibit my wife and put on Facebook in situation somebody recognised it.”
Expert Simon Prentice was notified of the discovery by vets.
He claimed: “At 1st I thought it was a hoax, or somebody was exaggerating the sizing but it was 14ft.”
Simon, who runs a expert reptile shop in Ilton, Somerset, extra: “It weighs a ton and it took three of us to elevate it into the van.”
He reported a past proprietor recognised the woman python, telling him they bought it through lockdown.
It was assumed that the non-venomous snake was dumped by its proprietor mainly because of the expense of feeding it, or it managed to escape.
Simon, who plans to hold it, is raising funds for an enclosure.
