Her post showed a picture of the dupe next to the more pricey £27 Magnet Benefit mascara.

The caption read: “Left is my well used benefit magnetic mascara, right is home bargains dupe for 99p. It’s not as good as the benefit but it’s pretty good for 99p!

Racking up nearly 40 likes and 23 comments the post has caused a stir online.

One person tagged a friend and said: “get us one,” while another wrote: “It’s not too bad but it smudges bad.”

A third wrote: “Bought it the other day, the brush it not the kind I like.”

It comes as The discount retailer are also selling a “really strong and lovely” Febreze scent dupe – dubbed Airoma – for just 99p.

Shoppers are rushing to get their hands on the product – which has glowing reviews and is inspired by the Febreze Rio Carnival air freshener.

The Airoma is £2 cheaper than the Febreeze version which costs £2.99.

One Woman took to Facebook to share news of the dupe writing: “Picked these (on the right) up in my local home bargains only 99p and fit the Febreeze plug ins.”

Others who had already tried and tested the product flocked to the comments section to share their opinion.

I know all the best beauty dupes at Dollar Tree – they have $1.25 versions of Tower 28, L’Oreal, and Physician’s Formula

One person wrote: “The vanilla one is lovely, I bought 4 for through the house they are really strong too.”

Another commented: “They are lovely they are really strong.”

The dupe refills can be bought in store but are completely out of stock on the Home Bargains website.

It comes as savvy shoppers are raving about an affordable dupe that they are giving a perfect rating when it comes to covering imperfections.

They are in disbelief over the budget-friendly buy that they say hides their blemishes for a fraction of the cost.
